Troop 1182-B (Boys) and Troop 1182-G (Girls)
Troop 1182-B was established in 1969, and Troop 1182-G was formed in 2019. Both troops are part of the Prince William District, located within the National Capital Area Council.
Personal Growth Through Scouting
Scouting offers a dynamic program for youth ages 11–17, designed to build character, develop leadership skills, and encourage adventure. Our Scouts learn a variety of practical skills, including camping, first aid, citizenship, and technology. With over 135 different merit badges to choose from, Scouts can explore areas that interest them while working toward Scouting’s ranks.
The entire Scouts BSA program is rooted in the Scout Oath and Law, guiding principles that shape each Scout’s journey. The Oath represents the core promises every Scout makes, and the Law outlines 12 ideals that every Scout strives to live by.
Get the Most Out of Scouting
There is a wide range of opportunities available to Scouts. The more they engage, the more they will benefit from the program. Plus, Scouting is one of the most affordable youth programs available.
Parents are encouraged to get involved too! Whether as a registered leader who provides guidance to the Scouts, or as a supportive parent who joins in on occasional campouts and activities, there are plenty of ways to participate.
